New to Worship

Worship at 9:30 Every Sunday

A Warm Welcome to Newcomers at Kingston Congregational Church!

If you are a newcomer to KCC, you are our guest and we hope you feel warmly welcomed. We believe you will find our worship services a combination of lively mood, engaging worship, and informal atmosphere. We have fun on Sunday morning and we believe that there is a great gladness at the heart of Christian faith, along with serious concern for the more challenging things of the life of faith. We believe one of the first things you will notice is how glad we all are to be here, how warmly we greet each other, and how delighted we are to welcome guests to our worship. You will see that the worship service moves along, but that we take time for things and do not hurry. Our worship blends traditional worship practices along with attention to the wide range of things that concern all of us in our everyday lives. We sing the great hymns of our Congregational tradition, along with songs from many other traditions, including spirituals and gospel songs, and hymns from other parts of the world. The same musical range and diversity is expressed in the music of our beloved Choir, expertly led by the noted musician and composer, Dr. Enrico Garzilli. We always leave worship inspired and feeling blessed by the music of Enrico and our Choir –and by occasional performances by our wonderful Children’s Choir.

Our children and youth join us for the first part of our worship and on most Sundays we have a special Children’s Time, when our younger members interact directly with our Senior Pastor, who shares stories and experiences that are relevant to their lives. The kids have a chance to talk, too, and we all learn from them, as well.

Hot Coffee and Warm Welcome!

We hope you will join us after the worship service for refreshments in Fellowship Hall, through the door on the left side of the front of the sanctuary, then left down the hallway. There is a Welcome Table with people to greet you and materials to help you learn more about our congregation. You will find the room full of a sense of warm fellowship and open welcome to guests. We are glad to share worship with you and hope to see you again!
